What is the difference between an account and a device profile?
The Oeck Account is the account used to login to the Oeck website, access support tickets, access billing information and overall management. Your Oeck account is also the default VPN login username.
Device profiles are sub-accounts for your VPN. These accounts are used for pre-set options for your VPN. Each of these accounts function as their own VPN login.
Do I need to use the Oeck apps for the service to work?
No. We understand there are two types of users. Those who prefer to do things manually and those who want it automated. Our apps are there purely to make the user experience better. If you wish to use the config files directly, they are readily available for download via the downloads page.
How many devices can I have connected concurrently?
You may have up to 6 devices logged in to our network concurrently, regardless of if the devices are sharing the same device profile or not.
Can I share my Oeck service with family and friends?
Although it is bad practice to do so ( as it means you will need to share your password with them ), we have no issue with account sharing. We do however limit the amount of concurrent devices.
